Laforte fracture level3

Can any thing be done about the pain in my upper teeth.Eating is so painful with any kind of chewing.I have tried Lyrica and am on pain medicine for chronic spinal disease which does little to help with this cranial facial seperation.,  Also fractured the ethmoid sinus along with orbitial floor fractures which included the upper jaw fracture and other area  in the face. Most of the face is numb and more so on the left side which had most of the trauma. It feel like I would like to pull my upper teeth out at times. Thanks

Sorry to hear about what you are going through first of all. Depending on the amount of time you are in this situation, a Neuromuscular Dentist might be able to help you with positioning of your jaw and teeth in a position that you would get the least amount of pressure on your teeth and jaw, and allow your jaw and teeth to settle and heal.

Hi Paul,
Here I have a couple of recommendations. I am not sure if they are close to you or not. But they both are highly trained guys in the field of neuromuscular dentistry. http://top3dentists.com/dentists/129  and   http://top3dentists.com/dentists/145   . If not go to www.top3dentists.com and look for a Neuromuscular Dentist in your zip code area, if they did not have one in your area, email them and they can help you out with finding a person. Best of luck and keep us informed.

Thank you for your concern. It was a terrible accident. How do you get in contact with this type of neuromuscular dentist that you make mention of in the State of NC?.I thought it would settle down some but it has not since the 8 plus hours of complex surgery to save my life in Oct 2007.Again thanks for the concern  Paul
