Painless white swelling in lower lips

Hi,

Last week I noticed a painless swelling in my lower lips. If I press it with teeth or tongue, there is no pain.
One day, while eating, It got cut it accidentally by my teeth. After that a colorless white discharge was there, which was like thin jelly (slightly higher density than mouth saliva). The taste was a bit salty.

When I pressed it a bit with fingers, the complete fluid came out and the swelling become smaller. I thought that it might heal now.

But the next day morning, again I felt the swelling (again painless lump), which discharged the same kind of liquid on pressing.

I am a bit confused and nervous. Below is my personal details, please help.

Age: 27, Male
No Drinking, No Smoking. Sometimes take tea/coffee.
Vegetarian.
No serious medical history or long term hospitalization.
No known allergy from any substance/medicine

Tour descriptions suggest mucocele of lower lip, which results from severed salivary gland secretory duct. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice. If minor salivary glands are also excised, recurrence is rare.

Hi scottma/Top 3 Dentists,

Thanks for the guidance. Now, i feel relaxed that it may not be a serious problem.

Kindly let me know, if there is any other option other than Surgery. There is only one such lump in the lower lip. Is it possible to heal it through medicines only?

Thanks once again.

Best Regards,
Gyani
