Hello sorry I do not know your name!
Thank you for your response. I have not had much time even to come on this site but I appreciate all your advice.
I am beat today. Yesterday it took ER 12 hours to get him a bed last night!
I will try to make it short.
I have no idea if his surgery took. They are all saying he is healing well. I am not sure of the details of his surgery because we never talked with him after the surgery. After the surgery he called mom told her all went well and we never saw him again. It has been three weeks then. We have not had the fallow ups yet. So the details I am not aware of.
Also another Dr. from another hospital had to come in because he was the one that was covered to do the surgery based on my father’s medical insurance.
His Dr. came by ER yesterday and he said that this is happened because Saturday he had Dialysis and they only took out one Kg of fluid only because his blood pressure was too low. This too because he has blood pressure medicine to take 3 times daily and mom gave it to him and it lowered his blood pressure too low and then they couldn’t get all th fluid out. So last night he was to have Dialysis again to remove fluid. It was almost 10pm by the time I left the hospital last night, and I am not sure what happened next. My mother works in sterile processing and she might know more at this point as to how he is doing today. He still has a hart time eating and his throat hurts. I feel so bad for him!
I am not too happy with UMC in Las Vegas. As of matter of fact I am not too happy with Vegas period but that is a different story. Again thank you for the response of my questions. I appreciate it!
Sincerely,
Arina
Ask his doctors if the bypasses took (if they healed in properly). Sometimes the bypasses do not heal and simply dissolve. The symptom of this happening is shortness of breath. Does he have any cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart muscle)? Also, when the surgeons did the bypass did they stop his heart? When the heart is stopped, sometimes this messes up the electrical system and medication and sometimes a pacemaker is needed. For awhile surgeons were operating on a beating heart, but I have been hearing mostly today that they are stopping the heart to operate. Sorry that he has to go through more than he has already been through. It is tough on him and his entire family. Give him all the support you can.
