Lost my father

I recently lost my father and wish to know that according to drugs.com an injection of tramadol should not be given to patients who are on anti depressants and sleeping tablets, but my father passed away 6 hours after recieving a tramadol injection. They said he passed due to heart failure, could this have been caused by the Tramadol

The word you are looking for is contingency, and you're right that some lawyers do work that way, however they are very hard to find for this type of case because of the length of time and work involved.

These type of lawyers usually will only take a short term case, and their part of the settlement is huge.

If you have a strong enough case then some lawyers will wait to get paid until your lawsuit is over. I believe they call it consignment? I'm not sure if that is the right word. It might also help if you go to your local newspaper and news station. At least you would be puting the word out like you did in this forum. I truley am sorry for your lose, naleca and i know it will be a brutal process so the question is, Is it worth fighting for. That is totally up to you.

I agree 100%, but the problem is, the common person usually does not have the resources to "make a difference".  You said it yourself, these companies are billionaires, and as sad as it is, whoever has the most money in this world will be the winners.......money talks.

That is very true but how long will we let these companies that make these products and the people that approve them destroy lives and make billions. Where is the justice in that. The doctors that prescribe it are just as responsible because we have to put our trust in them to weigh the pro's and con's of the medication and to make professional dicisions that would be in favor of our health and not the opposit. By fighting this, you can be the justice for others..

I'm am so sorry for your loss, and I agree that you would have a wrongful death suit, if you decide to pursue it.  However, you need to know that these kind of suits can take many years of battling in court and more money than most people are prepared to fork out.

My family has two medical wrongdoing suits going, and have had for approximately 6 years.  We are told our grandchildren may see some benefit from these suits, but all we will ever see is disappointment, and headaches.

After all of these years, I can tell you that the only thing these suits do to our family is, keep the deaths fresh in our hearts and minds, and cause more pain than it's worth.

I'm not suggesting you "just let it go", but I think it's important to know what you will be up against, should you take action.

I hope the best for you, and again, I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry about your lose. My advise to you is to gather up all the information you can online, print it out and go to a lawyer's office. From what i read, it can be fatal all by itself in rare cases.
