Mitral regurgitation

I am 31 year-old woman with 211 pounds. Last year I had chest pain and my doctor asked me to have an echo. A  regurgitation trace of mitral and tricuspide was found. But the resume said that the study was normal. I still have chest pain and i started exercices since 5 days. do u think i must take Nitrate?

Hello, To answer your question, no one on here is a doctor so should you take nitrates? Only your doctor knows the answer to that question. Nitrates relax clogged arteries; they also give you a massive headache every time you take one and can also cause a fast drop in blood pressure. This is not a drug to 'just take'. A trace of regurg is nothing to worry about; a LOT of people have this problem and don't even know it. Did your doctor do an exercise stress test on you? That would be the next step to see if there are any changes in heart function. If that hasn't been done, see about having it done before anything else. Keep us posted.
