I am very sorry to hear of your condition. I can relate somewhat. Although I do not have CAD ( cardiac cath showed clean arteries), I do have Dilated Cardiomyopathy. In late Dec of 2007  was hospitalized with many issues and at that time also had CHF.
I also was involved in a head-on MVA in 1999. I had many injuries, but I believe that my serious injury of broken neck may have overshadowed damage which my heart incurred. I believe that from BFT (blunt force trauma), my heart was damaged and with years of going unchecked brought my EF down to 15-20 %. (it is now about 25 with med regimine). My body bent the steering wheel, so my chest most certainly took a good hit.
I am not a Dr, but I would think it would be very plausible that the terrific trauma and stress from your accident might have stressed your heart and caused your otherwise dormant condition to surface. Since it takes years for your coronary arteries to develope blockages, I wouldn't think that the acc wouldn't have caused that condition, but the stress upon body from acc, might have contributed to a quicker onset of the problems associated with it.
Again, I am sorry to hear of your condition. I wish you well. Take care, Steve

I'm sorry to hear about the MVA and all of the complications that you are dealing with since the incident.  I don't know for certain that there is a connection, but it certainly seems plausible.

You might want to try contacting one of our members from the Heart Disease Forum (sirenet).  He has experienced a very similar situation and maybe the two of you will be able to brainstorm some of what's going on.  "Sirenet" is a great person and very knowledgeable on heart conditions.
