Stomach pains on right side.

Ive started to develop really bad pains in my stomach and right side. This has occured about 3 days ago. I also sometimes have sharp pains that start in my stomach and I feel it in my rectum. After I eat, I have to go to the bathroom. Its like everything i eat goes right through me. I dont have a fever or have shown any signs of being sick however my appetite has decreased.
I went to the Doctor and he said it could be just an ulcer, medicated me and said to come back if it worsens. Im going to get a second opinion. What do you think it could be?

HI MELM / i have coitis my symptons were very simular to yours at the start! they kept telling me it was ibs to start with until i started to pass lots of blood and mucas all the time and the urge to have your bowel,s open every 5min also get chronic abdominal pain when on the loo! i also get the odd pain in my rectum iswell. my appetite completley goes when i have a flare up / im on steriods at the mo which is helping alot/ i think you should deffintley get second opinion you need to get it sorted keep in touch xx
