I had the mucus and blood thing with my Ulcerative Colitis. Before I got a diagnosis, my PCP thought it was internal hemorrhoids since I just had had my son. I had to submit to two separate manual exams to verify this... not fun. They prescribed hydrocortisone suppositories and they really seemed to help me. I also took on my own psyllium husks every morning mixed with Orange juice. That really helped me as well. I was having the really messy, hard to clean up poops as well. I highly recommend psyllium for that. It really really helps. My symptoms subsided. Eventually, they came back and I found out I had uc - but thought I would mention those two solutions since they can be had over the counter and cheap if you are desperate and can't see a doc.

I should say to be seen by specialists not doctors.
I have ulcerative colitis and that was often a complaint that when I used the bathroom it would be just mucus and blood. Maybe your crohns has moved to your large intestine which is very common. That's really sad that you can't get help I would do what MzFlavor said and just go to the emergency room. I live in Canada so that doesn't happen here but the waiting to be seen by doctors is awful here.
You really need to go to the emergency room. Hospitals have all sorts of payment plans that will assist you in paying your bill. Your health is far more important than worrying about paying a medical bill. Hospitals in in my area of central Texas take as little as $5 dollars a month. Please don't let these symptoms continue without care.
