Most of the older buildings and bridges, here, have either been torn down or retrofitted.
Newer structures are built in compliance with strict earthquake safety codes. So thankfully, there's been no major structural damages or personal injuries reported.

Scary... very scary!

Do you know if there was any damage? News reports are vague and just saying it is a developing story. That must have been so scary for you! OMG, I cannot imagine.

Yes... its been upgraded to a 7.2 magnitude. I've lived here in San Diego all my life and I've experienced many quakes; but, this was the scariest. It felt like an "E" ticket Disney ride.

I just heard on the news that they updated this from 6.9 to a 7.2. They also said there was a 4.4 in Northern California as well, sometime today?
