Pregnant and unsure

I need help.  I had an U/S on 9/20 that showed me 6 wks pregnant, which would put conception 8/23.  I last slept with my husband two to three times the week of 8/7 (8,9 and 10th).  I slept with someone else 8/15 and (I don't know any other way to put it) he pulled out.  I'm scared and stupid for even thinking I could do this to my husband.  Now I'm pregnant and I am stressing myself out trying to determine who's baby this is.  I have a very irregular menstrual cycle and unable to pinpoint when the first day of my LMP.  I am almost positive I was on my cycle 7/24 and 7/25 which would make it my husband's if I ovulated on 8/9 but the U/S should have me at 8 weeks not 6 weeks.  I am now 10 weeks and so confused.  Is it possible that it could be the boyfriend's, if he pulled out?  I'm so ashamed.

It lasted no more than three minutes and we only did it that one time.  I am going to ask about prenatal paternity testing.  I don't know if I can go through with this pregnancy if it is not my husband's baby.  I can't tell my husband.  It would break his heart.  I already feel like I have broken his heart with him not even knowing.  It's so hard to see him so happy.  I love him so much.  I can't believe I have put us in this situation.  I feel so guilty, I don't deserve an answered prayer.  I don't want to lose my husband.  Thanks for all of your comments.  I do believe everything happens for a reason.

As they have siad above the "pull out method" is not the best. Sometimes the "juice" (sorry can't think what its called right now)which a man will omit when getting excited can sometimes contain traces of Sperm. Or if you had done it before that time (twice in the same day or night), he could still have some lurking around just at the exit.

However, when I went for my 10 week Scan they told me that my baby was about a week smaller than what I was, but now he/she is the right size for his/her age.

Sorry I cant help you more, but it is a 50/50 chance. As somebody said above, ask the doctor to keep this piece of info to himself.

Good luck.

The only way to be 100% is to have a paternity test.  Unfortunatley, you can't "pick" who the father is in this case.  For your child and everyone involved it's the only way to get an accurate answer.  You dont want to potentially hurt anyone.  It may have long term emotional effects on you and your child if you are not honest.  Everyone makes mistakes, you just have to own up to this one.

Don't beat yourself up anymore!  NO matter who the father actually is, it IS YOUR BABY.  I don't believe there is any prenantal testing available for this, but I could be wrong.  After the baby is born, have the bf get a paternity test....that way, you'll automatically know who the father is without testing your husband if there is no reason for it....Your not the only unfaithful woman in this world...be easier on yourself!  What's done is done, and your going to have a baby!  Be ok with that, this child deserves a fair chance.....you'll be alright.

You can have a CVS or amniocentesis to draw out amniotic fluid and have prenatal testing.  You have to have permission from your MD and labs will send a kit to your physician or your physician can send the fluid to a lab.  I called a local lab company and they test for $210.

This isn't going to make you feel better - but pulling out isn't foolproof. It's rare, but possible that it is your boyfriend's child.

Given the extremely close timing of your sexual activities, you are going to have to wait for a DNA test when the child is born. No one can tell you who the father is.

Sorry to hear you're in this situation.
