If you are not a kid, you could probably afford a prenatal DNA test from the DDC or Ravgen, the two top labs for non-invasive prenatal paternity testing. Have you thought of going that route?
Ask them to look at the earlier record and talk to you about it, if you like, but a second ultrasound is likely to be less helpful than the first one. As pregnancy progresses, ultrasounds can get less and less reliable for trying to guess when conception was. (By the time you are full term, they can be three weeks off.) If it is off the results of the first one, it might be used to try to determine a percentage greater or lesser than average for the baby's growth rate, but that is pretty complicated to do.
Do you think at my second ultra sound coming up they can better confirm.
According to your doctor and the ultrasound, you conceived no later than about June 3 even with the margins for error figured in. Given that you were having sex with your boyfriend a lot around then, it sounds like you got pregnant from him.
Try to look up on google a conception calculator it can go off your last period or your due date
So is the June 11 date too far to be the date conception occurred. What are the odds of TV ultrasound overestimating?? Sorry so worried. I hope it's my ex
So the June 11th date is it possible?
Was having sex with boyfriend quite often every other day till June 5 then no sex until the June 11th date then me and my ex got back together June 17 and started having sex again with him. We have been together 13 years and was starting to think one of us was having fertility issues but did have what I thought was a miscarriage few years back.. He has 4 kids from previous marriage. They are all adults he is 50 the guy on the 11th is 54 going on 55. And he couldn't perform although he tried. Thank you also for taking the time to respond I really appreciate it.
When around these times did you have sex with your ex? When did you break up with him?
The "11 weeks 6 days" count suggests around May 28 for conception, keeping in mind that by the 12th week of pregnancy there is a margin for error of +/- 7 days when using an ultrasound to determine the conception date. (I don't suppose you had any ultrasounds in your 6th or 7th week?)
Here is what the conception calculator says about the due date of February 18:
First day of last menstrual period: May 14
Probable date of ovulation: May 28
Possible dates of conception: May 24 to June 1
Due date: February 18 (40 weeks)
If you did conceive around May 27 or 28, it is unlikely to be from sex on June 11, no matter how big the margin for error was from the ultrasound. Did you happen to have sex with your ex any time after May 16 or so? Sperm can live a while in the woman's system. And if you add in the margin for error when using such a late ultrasound for this computation, the date could stretch back that far.
February 18th 2016 the nurse said she was getting 11 weeks 6 days and 12 weeks. She went with 12.
I am non stop stressing and hope my ex. He is a good father but the other is not a responsible person good person though. I hate myself for being so careless. I was just trying to get my mind off of the split with my ex so had a few drinks and acted careless. Live and learn but I'm am so stressed just want to ease my mind for now not good to be so stressed right now.
Hi, Confused, what estimated due date did they give you at your ultrasound on August 5?
