painful swollen vein when hot

I just noticed this today while taking a hot bath. I got a stinging pain right below my bicep on my left arm, which was bent. I rubbed my fingers across the spot and it felt like a vein was swollen. A few seconds after straightening my arm the pain stop. A minute or so after getting out of the bath the vein didn't feel swollen anymore. Is this anything to worry about? I've complained to my GO and cardiologist before about being worried about blood clots since I have deep, localized leg pain but they both dismissed the notion. I'm 25. Don't smoke and am overweight by maybe 10 pounds.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good that the initial evaluation was okay and no underlying cause was seen. However, if the body pains persist, you may request for diagnostic tests such as blood tests. Or you can get referral to another doctor that will help further. Lessen also physical activity that may contribute to musculoskeletal issues. Take care always.

I presented my concern to my cardiologist and GP. Both dismissed it, which has been pretty typical of every doctor I've gone to this year despite constant body-wide pain that no one has bothered to try to explain.

Hi,
Do you still experience the pain in your left arm? The pain could be due to musculoskeletal issues as well. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Additional diagnostic tests may need to be done. Take care and do keep us posted.
