There is some debate as to whether bone loss is a normal aging process or if it can be prevented.
The 50% bone loss is not an issue as long as you don't have any active disease. What that means is that with 50% bone loss, it may mean your teeth are slightly mobile (move around a bit) but as long as its somewhat sturdy and not worsening, you can try to maintain what you have. The problem with bone loss though is that it can make you more prone to losing more bone as the gums probably have receded. Just be diligent with your oral hygiene and regular dental checkups and cleaning. As long as the situation doesn't worsen, it shouldn't be an issue.
bone loss or bone resorption is normal physiological process ,it increase with age, but i didn,t know the normal rate of this process?.
