For the past 2-3 weeks, I have been bothered by a kind of burning sensation on my tongue. Hard to explain. Kind of like I drank something hot and scorched my tongue and mouth. My gums of my lower teeth are also sore. When I floss, they bleed. A few things are crossing my mind: I have been anemic in the past. My hair is falling out similiar to what it was when I was anemic. My menstrual periods have always been very heavy. Over a year ago, I had a yeast infection and it was also in my mouth (or should I say in the crevices of my smile). I had cracks in the opening of my mouth with slight redness. My blood pressure tends to run low...below normal. This sometimes causes dizziness and weakness. My other concern is I have been dating a new man the past six months and am deeply in love with him. I pushed him away for months before deciding to date him. One of the turn offs was his teeth. He had been in a wreck and one of his front teeth is grayish...decaying. He is a smoker and I am quite sure the rest of his teeth aren't all that great yet I haven't asked to see them. I know he is already embarrassed about the one noticeable. We, of course, kiss among other things. Can his poor dental health affect me? He does brush his teeth and use Listerine. I just feel he probably has a lot of overdue dental work. It's been about 3 years since I had a cleaning myself due to lack of insurance. Any advice on possibilities would be greatly appreciated.
