Can someone please diagnose this spot on my 2yr old's gums?

The other day I noticed a spot on my daughter's lower gum. It's not something I can scrape away.  It appears to be under the gum, but not on the tooth.  I know we should take her to the dentist, but I would like to hear from anyone who may be familiar with this. Could it be a bruise? Decay? Something worse? Thank you kindly.

Sounds good.  I would imagine it'll go away sooner but its good its not getting any bigger or doing something else out of the ordinary.

It has not changed in size.  I emailed this picture to my dentist and he said give it a month to heal up.  He wasn't worried and thinks it's a bruise as well.  Thank you for your response!

Has it changed in size or anything since you found it?  I was wondering if it may be a bruise of some sort.
