Lost crown/bridge pain is unbearable

i have a crown on my lower incisor with another crown second molar back and a bridge between.  About three weeks ago I started having tooth pain in that area, that continued to worsen to the point of going to the ER. Was prescribed something for the pain and amoxicillan 875 bid.  Three days ago while eating pound cake of all things, my crowns/bridge fell out.  I no longer have dental insurance, live in a different state than before, am in severe pain and my jaw is swelling. Dont know what to do.  feels like a nerve is exposed.  The ground down teeth are both black in color.  Is that the way they were prepared before crowning? HELP

The black part of your teeth is the way they prepare before placing the crown on top.

How long ago did you have these crowns done?  As you have no insurance and  if you haven't had them in very long, you should speak with the dentist that did the crowns and he should correct these for no extra cost.

Unfortunately, if the crowns have been in for a long time, you may be charged.  But it is worth speaking to the dentist who did them for you.

As your mouth is swelling, it may be that you still have an infection.  You may have to see your doctor about getting another course of antibiotics.
And you will have to get to see a dentist unless your hospital does emergency teeth repairs.

Take pain relief in the recommended dosage.

Best wishes.

You do need to visit a dentist to take care of your dental issue. Internet consultation is probably no help.
