Occasional tongue tingling when yawning

I have been experiencing slight numbness, more of a tingling sensation on the right tip of my tongue when i yawn or open my jaw really wide.  I don't have chronic numbness or any pain.  I do have occasional ear pain.  My dentist took a Panoramic xray, but it turned out a bit grainy.  He states he has never heard of tingling in the tongue when yawning, he thinks it is nothing.  I am unsure as to where to go now.  Please help me.
Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This is a new one for me. Probably seeing an oral surgeon would be a good idea.
