Pain after Permanent Crown

Hi!  Last two weeks ago i had 29 units permanent crowns installed all at the same time, i was really in pain. And now after 2 weeks, there is still intermittent pain in my right  molar extending to my lower jaw that i have to take mefenamic acid to relieve from pain... How can i determine if i am recovering? or candidate for root canal? and am i right to say that i've been to a very traumatic experience (299 units at the same time)that it would  take a little longer for recovery than the normal waiting time of 6 weeks? Thanks.

Especially if you have had a large amount of work done, there's a large possibilities of minor problems that can occur.  It would be best to address those first and see if that solves the problem.  If it doesn't, then further treatment and examination will be necessary.  Hope its simple though!

If the pain is somewhat bearable and has been steadily improving, I would recommend taking a wait and see approach.  If the pain worsens or other symptoms appear, it would be best to go back to your dentist to see whats going on.  If you have pain on chewing or eating though, it may be the bite of the crowns that is slightly off and it made require some adjustments.
