Painful Palate!

A week ago I burnt the roof of my mouth. Blister formed. When  it popped, I developed a painful sore on the roof of my mouth. It is spreading and now the glands in my neck are sore. This happens everytime I burn my mouth.  After a week or so, I can't stand the pain, I get antibiotics for my MD and it eventually goes away.  Is it a bacterial infection?  Why do I get it?  I brush and floss regulary.  My husband calls me funk mouth when I get it.  He finds it humorous....I find it Very paiful!

Thank You for you opinion

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
There is no greater septic area in the body than the mouth. It is not unusual that a sore of little significance can become infected. If the infection is sufficient then the lymph glands will become involved because that is their job to fight off infections.I like to use a steriod ointment to ease the discomfort even before the area becomes infected if possible.
