Plaque

31b
I am a 31 year old female with overcrowded teeth and moderate plaque. No matter how much i brush , my mouth emits a slight odour after a certain time. Could the plaque be the culprit?

Sorry to hear about your problem. I would suggest, besides the regular oral hygiene like brushing twice, flossing, brushing the tongue, you should try using inter-dental brush. Sometimes flossing alone cannot clean the toughest of plaque. Inter-dental brush can help you clean the particles stuck between teeth more efficiently. Besides that, see your dentist at-least once every 6 months.

cheers!

Tartar that develops above the gum line are very serious as it may irritate and damage gums by the bacteria it harbors. If remain untreated can leads to serious form is known as periodontitis. The effect can be stopped and reversed with careful brushing, flossing, and regular cleanings by dental professionals. Check with your dentist and get it cleaned.

Vitamin C would be more helpful for something like scurvy.  I assume you most likely don't have that unless you had some odd condition that didn't allow you to absorb vitamin C.

Its probably gum disease but you won't know until you see a dentist.

I think about an year ago. Besides , can vitamin c supplements help with the bleeding? Do you think its gum disease? Yet there is no inflammation present. If not what could this condition possibly be?

Sorry i used the wrong word. It is actually calculus i think when plaque becomes hardened. Its difficult to floss because of the way my teeth has aligned all just stuck to each other. And i do brush my tongue and palate. Also my gums do bleed at times. Can the hardened plaque cause the bleeding and mouth odour?

Most likely.  Are you flossing regularly and also brushing your tongue and palate?  How about mouthwash?
