Please help!

I had three prep for crowns two lower left molars and one lower right about 4 days ago. I am in a LOT of pain, sharp, dull my jaw hurts pain down my neck... temples pound like was hit by a baseball bat in the head. I have taken 800 mg of Motrin every 4 hours helps but not much. I started taking 5mg of oxycodone which helps but I can only take that every 6 hours and it wears off every 4, so for two hours I am in horrible pain. I have removed the temp crowns for about 10 minutes, and no relief!  Please, anything that can help.

Thank you for your response.  I have an appointment on Monday.  I hope it's not a root canal.  But unfortunately, I think you may be right.  Thank you for your time.

You're going to have to call your dentist and get seen as soon as possible.  One or more of those teeth may need a root canal judging by what you're saying.  You can also possibly get a strong prescription but it'll only help to alleviate some of the pain, most likely a root canal will solve the cause of the pain.
