Hi, I've noticed a problem with my saliva for the past couple of months.
When I wake up in the morning, go into the sink & spit. The saliva is green. When I brush my teeth & use mouthwash, it goes clear again. Everything is normal for the rest of the day when I'm up. No further discolouration or anything. It's only when I lie back at night in bed & sleep for a few hours, does it go green the next morning first thing after I wake.
I've had acid problems in my stomach in the near past & have noticed that I'm starting to see it surfacing a little bit again with stuff like heartburn & a bit of burning in the back of the throat.
However I was wondering in your expert opinion, is there any chance that this is a teeth/gum problem or will it be due to the acid coming up my throat at night as I lie back, building up & ultimately mixing with my saliva overnight.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, James..
