Root Canal pain

I had a root canal about a month ago. I have developed a blue spot on the chewing surface of the tooth. I am facial pain around by jaw and ear. I had jaw surgery 10 years ago with plates and screws. Could the  jaw pain be from the plates and screws in by jaw.

Was a permanent filing placed after the root canal?  Have you contacted your dentist?  Sorry to ask, but you did not mention it.

A Endodontist performed the root canal. The crown was on the tooth before. It was tooth number 14.

Was there a crown placed on the tooth after the root canal was completed?
