Should I see a dentist for thrush?

Hi,
I have been dealing with thrush since being on a cocktail of antibiotics and steriods for an ear thing I had going on last Spring. My tongue is coated white on the back of my tongue. I was on nystatin for 6 weeks and then took diflucan for a week and even did an oral nystatin for 7 days. I have just been to my regular doc and wondering if a dentist would be more helpful with this. Are there any over the counter remedies I can do too?
Thanks!!

If you can't wipe it off, it most likely isn't thrush.  Especially since all the antifungals don't work.  I would recommend seeing a dentist to find out what it is.  Does the white patches changes in size and shape?  It may be geographic tongue.  Any symptoms?

No antifungal worked and no I cannot wipe off.
What else could it be? I had it swabbed a few weeks ago and
it came back negative for viral and bacterial too. The doc thought it
was thrush and gave me diflucan.

So none of the antifungals worked?  Can you wipe off the white coat?
