Small lession on the roof of my mouth

I developed a group of small lessons on the roof of my mouth. As I understand it cold sores usually occur on the lips or outside the mouth and canker sores usually on the outer pallet. I have never had cold sores before but I have had canker sores. It feels a little like canker sores but it does not look like the ones I usually get. I started a new relationship about 5 days ago. Any idea what this is?

Any history of trauma?  It looks like a traumatic injury at first glance.  Its quite red.  Is there any bleeding in the area?

It may be a cold sore but usually cold sores have a small little bubble (vesicle) in the middle of a red irritation.  You may want to go to your dentist to get it checked out.  Usually with cold sores, they pass after about 7 days.
