I recently looked on Crest's website... after experiencing brown stains on and between my lower front teeth. I had heard about the staining but did NOT think it would actually happen! I assumed the "staining" that Crest refers to in their (note the quotations) "warning" meant that the blue dye would make them appear blue or something until you washed it out. I had no idea my teeth would look BROWN!! But they still have the same warning and make claims that the staining might actually mean the mouth wash is working- which I dont believe. They need to pull it off the market or else warn people that this so called staining makes your teeth look like you've smoked 12 packs of cigarettes a day for 80 years.
contact crest. they returned the purchase price for the mouthwash and set me a coupon for free crest/oral b products. the staining will come off with your next dental cleaning.
I experienced the same disturbing browning of my teeth. I hoped it wasn't noticeable to others, but I learned later (after I had the stains removed by my dentist) that my little niece thought I had started doing drugs or chewing tobacco.
My dentist was mystified when I told him that the mouthwash was the only thing new in my routine. I was still doubtful until I saw all of these postings on the web.
