Pseudomembranous type of candidiasis does present clinically as you described.
TQ for the suggestion, I will do that.
While we are on Candidiasis topic, can I assume the diagnosis of Candidiasis is white cream that CAN be whipped-off and puncture the inner cheek?
TQ
Your description is not consistent with candidiasis. If your are highly motivated, go to the library and review any oral pathology or oral medicine textbook, your'll be able to see picture of.fordyce's granule.
Dear Scottma,
Thank you for your reply. I checked on Fordye's granule on the web. I cant find a good picture to compare. But mine is slightly raise, yellow, about 1-2mm each, appear in 4 spots on my inner cheek, each spots has about 5-10 of them and cant be wiped off.
I am just very afraid it could be candiasis.
What do you think, please?
Yellow spots on buccal mucosa are probably Fordyce's granule(ectopic sebaceous gland), which is generally regared as normal variant. The most common entity presented as translucent white lining is leukoedema.
