I am on a strong antibiotic and some of swelling has gone down a bit. I went to the ER last night and the doctor said that I had an abscess but I went to the dentist this morning to see what he said and he said that everything was normal just really swollen. Im not sure who to believe and who is right.

Appropriate administration of antibiotics generally will eliminate swelling within 24-72 hours. However, if antibiotics does'nt work after 3 days, switching to another category of antibiotics is recommended.
