Thank you for the advice. I just read about how Lysine may be an option for me. I've never had Lysine in my home. Could it work, or is that a myth? Thanks again.
Everything hits the roof of your mouth pretty much so it's going to be sore and hard to heal. Try a soft diet, nothing spicy and nothing too hot. There are medications that speed healing that you can ask the dr or dds about. I have lupus and get these awful quarter sized sores like cankor sores really miserable. I get a prescription called C-Ben/Mad/Lid. It's a combination of benedryl liquid, maalox and lidocaine, you swish it over the sores and it numbs and also heals them up faster. But you need to see a dentist or doctor for that. There are pastes in the dental isles for cankor sores that you could use to cover the sore and numb it, Canka makes one and I'm sure there are others.
Hi,
OUCH! I think I'd switch to just plain salted water to rinse with instead of the mouth wash. Use about 1/4 tsp in 8oz of warm water. It's a more "normal" solution to the saliva in your mouth and can help with healing by drawing any edema out. Many mouthwashes contain alcohol and other substances that can keep the area from healing.
If it's anything like a pizza burn, it will heal in about a week to 10 days. Try eating soft foods until it does, too.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
My very best to you,
Gellia
