swelling three to four days after dental implants

I had dental implants in  my lower jaw four days ago. The first two days I rested and had very little activity with little or no swelling. Yesterday I got back into my routine, including some exercise (crosstrainer, no weights or lifting), and I have noticed some swelling on the implant site. There is very little, if any pain.

I wouldn't think that exercising or performing any activities should affect the area too much.  Has the swelling worsen though?  Its possible you may have traumatized the area with your muscles in your mouth if you were biting down or exercising hard but I still can't imagine it would do much to the area.  I'd be more concerned with your eating and oral hygiene habits.  Rinse the area with some warm salt water and continue to be diligent with your oral hygiene.  If the area worsens, inform your dentist.
