Abdominal Cramping

I recently have been weaned off of Effexor XR, which I have been on for 5 1/2 years, and have been experiencing abdominal cramping after about 3 days of being totally off the Effexor. Has anyone else experienced this?

no, i went several months trying natural things like 5htp and omega oils. i do think it's much easier going from one antidepressant to another. i went from paxil to effexor with no problems, now i'm back on paxil. if you start the celexa then the withdrawal will probably go away.  for me effexor was the worse antidepressant i've ever taken. if you take celexa i hope it works for you. take care. corena

Did you take any other anti-depressants after the Effexor? I was told that sometimes your symptoms go away faster if you start taking another anti-depressant afterwards.
I am going on 7 days of no Effexor and I feel like ****. My doctor wants me to start taking Celexa right away but I am afraid to.
