Changing new medication

Hey, I have been taking tablets for depression since November 2012, I felt they weren't working so I have been changed from Citalopram 20mg onto Fluoxetine 20mg. I was told to take no pills for two days to flush the old ones and then start on the new pills but recently I have been having weird feelings like I may vomit, shaky, anxiety, my mind feels wobbly and a sense of unreality like its not real. Why do I feel like this?
It's practically been around 48 hours since I took a tablet so I took my new pill 10 mins ago, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

That's great news. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Yes, it can take awhile for the meds to start working. We're all so different it's really hard to say how long. It may be within a week or it could be a few weeks. You do sound much better.

I've started to take my new meds and I know it takes a few weeks for them kick in but I do feel better, I was worrying a lot about not being in any tablets

It sounds like you're going through withdrawal. I'm a little surprised your Dr did'nt have you taper off the first med. Not all Drs do this though.
Hopefully the new med will work for you. Keep us up to date on how things are going.
