Confused About Physical Symptoms

I have generalized anxiety and been diagnosed with a phobia regarding my health.  Because of how my phobia has restrained my life, I have also been diagnosed with depressed as a secondary result of my phobia.

I went to the doctor the other day because I've had random aches in both my upper, front legs.  Although I can feel random dull aches throughout my whole body, they seem to concentrate in my upper legs.  Sometimes it seems to be localized in my left leg.  Although it is not painful, the aches are there.  My doctor didn't seem to think it was a big deal.  My question is, can my depression and anxiety be doing this?  Is it my weight?  I don't know how to remedy this situation and is just causing even more anxiety.  Any comments are appreciated.

Thank you both for your comments.  I guess i'm trying to find out if just because I feel these leg aches, doesn't necessarily mean there has to be something definately wrong with my body.  I'm glad that I'm pretty much fine today.  If you can believe it, a couple of tylenol did the trick.  I had a long day yesterday at work and extra curricular activities and would have not gotten through the day without it.  Again, thank you for responding, I appreciate every comment.  Thanks!

I too have generalized anxiety and depression and I understand how you feel.  I have had all the symptoms that you have described.  However, I had such pain accompanied with bladder and kidney trouble that they did some x-rays and found that I have benign bone lessions on my hip that are causing pain.  Additionally, I have found the pain goes down my legs (thighs) as you have described.  I don't know if there is a way to get an x-ray of your pelvis but this it may bring to light if there is anything similar to what I have.

I will say that anxiety and depression have caused a good deal of pain, but I also found that I do have physical issues that cause some of my discomfort.  ie: acid refulx, ibs, chronic intractable migraines.  I have also taken many types of vitamines but have found that whole food vitamines are providing a noticeable difference.  The brand I am using is called GNLD.  Take care and good luck.

The anxiety is causing it and there is nothing you can do about it but learn how to live with it. I have all the physical symptoms of Anxiety. Shortness of breath, tingling hands and feel, chest pain, body aches, headaches.......you just have to keep busy and  try not to think about it, or get on an anti-anxiety or antidepressant medicine.
