help

im a 14 year old girl suffering for very bad depression for 2 months now and I don't know what to do. I am afraid to tell my parents as they will tell me to "cop on" or say that I don't have it. I'm really worried as my friends have started to notice and i'm getting worse and worse every single day. I have no clue what to do and I need help?!?

Hi i was in your age with depression. Since i was not so confortable about my parents reaction (saying ive no problem, should be stronger etc) i asked help from school. They arranged a therapist wich i could go during school time and it helped me at that time. It would be better if my family had support me but anyway i dont care anymore. Its your life and to be depressed is not what you deserves! So get help and be better! Big hug (if you like it)

Hi......Until you try you don't know what your parents will do.  I can tell you that they love you very much and would want to know that you are enduring this.  Try talking to them and if they don't take you seriously put it in writing, often when we have to read the words we truly hear what is being said.  As parents we sometimes don't want to accept that our child is having a problem...we prefer to be believe that your life is a happy and carefree one. We may feel if we tell you that you're fine you will be...but it doesn't work this way and when we are forced to hear or read the truth, nothing will stop us from getting our child help.  If this fails then talk to your school counselor or principal, they will let your parents know that this is serious and they need to help you, and they will.  Know you're not alone, we hear from a lot of teens just like yourself and there is so much help for you!  Talk to your parents and go from there.  Big hugs...it's going to be okay.

Hi there!

Im sorry you have began feeling like this, and if you feelbsomethimg isnt right, then something isnt right! You likely have developed depression! Theres no reason why your parents shouldnt believe you, you should be a priority!  Dont be afraid to go to them about it! They are the very first people you should go to about this type of stuff, and if they do end up not listening and not believing you, then there are other options! Tell them exactly how your feeling, dont hold back on anything! If all else fails, go to your school counsler, you will most definitely get helped that way. Tell them whats going on and tell them you would like some help with it. They will arrange for it! Hope this helps and best of luck!
