Depression and Zoloft resumption

my son has been off  Zoloft for several weeks and is now in a very deep depression. He resisted resuming Zoloft but did yesterday--100 mgs.

I know it takes some time to work. I am very worried. Is a "kick-start" massive dosage possible to try.

Please advise me. What else can I do?

Thank you so much. I appreciate your expertise. He is under the care of a psychiatrist and she did select the dosage.

It has been some days now and there is improvement, so I am greatly relieved.

Again, thank you.

No.  It doesn't work that way.  It takes time to work.  This should be done in concert with his psychiatrist.
