Depression and forgetfullness

I am 28 years old. About 5 years ago this coming May. I was diagnised with depression. I was put on 25 mg of Zoloft right away. Then I was upped to 50 mg. Then to 100 mgs. NOw I am on 5o mgs. They are weaning me off it. I have been recently diagnosed with panic and anxity. I am now on 10mg of Buspar.I am having some odd syptoms. I feel like someone is pushing on my brain like it is heavy. People say that I will be just sitting here talking and then I look at them with a blank stare for a few minutes and then say what? What is wrong? You were talking and stopped. What was I saying? Then I would be walking into the grocery store and ask myself why am I here. See I am feeling that thing in my head now. I will not remeber what i have to get. I will write it down but forget where I placed the list. I lose my keys, purse and other things alot. Do not remeber where I placed them. I can not remember pin numbers, passwords etc. That is not good. I always have to renew them. I am to young to be forgetting. I am tired alot. MY legs give out sometimes. I get cold easy. I am always having a blanket on me. Ok lost my train of thought.UGH. Oh yeah they gave me an mri to look for MS. They did not find anything. The Neurolgist gave me three words to remember. Lets say they were ball, book and leaf. Then he would talk to me for a minute then ask me the what the words were. I could not remember them all. I stutter sometimes now when I speak. I am confused and scared. Can you please help me. I am not sure what is going on. I ahve two beautiful boys, I do nto want to forget them.

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time.  I wanted to ask if you are sleeping okay?  I know having such young children can really cause difficulties when it comes to sleep.  Lack of sleep can cause a lot of problems.  I can't speak to the medications that you are on but hopefully someone else here can let you know if they have experienced similar troubles while on the medications you mentioned.  I have experienced the forgetfulness that you mentioned (grocery store, blank stare during conversations, misplaced items).  I think that for me it was more a trouble with focus.  Too much going on in my mind.  My husband describes it like the scroll at the bottom of the screen on the news channel...way too much info to process any of it in a meaningful way.  You mentioned being afraid that you may forget your children but I am going to hazard a guess here that they are what you are mostly focused on, their happiness, their health, their future.  It's good to get testing done to rule out anything medical, that's very prudent, but try to get some rest and calm your worries.  I wish you the best.
