Does citalopram affect semen volume

I've been taking Citalopram for 2 months and it certainly seems like my semen volume has been affected.  Does this drug contribute to lower semen volume?

From experience on such a personal subject i can say that i have had all of the above with various meds as prozac & seroxat's impotent effects wore off somewhat which i was more happier about. In regards to actual semen volume i've found occasions when my *** has been either been in less amounts and in less overall density as i've found this unsettling also. i can't be sure as to what maybe happening here as it does vary as sometimes it can be quite normal and of substance so to speak and sometimes like water which i find unsettling, but owing to having changed meds and still not being entirely happy with them this specific matter i'm not concentrating upon as putting it down to the "sexual problems" to be expected with SSRI's /SNRI's. hope this helps

It does have a sexual side effect.

Click on the Side Effects

It says "decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm"

Not sure if it affects the semen volume.

I'm taking it right now. I used to take lexapro but switched to this one. Since then, it's been easier to climax and, if anything, the semen count has increased, but don't quote me on that.

Hope this helps.
