Effexor XR lowest dose: 37.5mg OR 18.75mg?
Many users mentioned on http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Depression-Mental-Health/Effexor-XR-withdrawal-symptoms/show/267377 that the lowest dose they had before going to zero of Effexor XR was 18.75mg. The lowest dose available in the market is known to me as the 37.5mg. Frankly, I'd like it for the 18.75 mg to exist - but how true is it?
(Also, on other sites I read about people opening up the capsules but many don't recommend that as not all particles are exactly the same. )

When I have been prescribed Effexor (twice) the dose I was started on was 37.5mg and then later upped. Have you asked a doctor about a lower dose? I have read quite a few times about people opening the capsules to take a lower dose, but I don't know how this works exactly. I presume you want to stop taking Effexor. How is that going now?
