Talk to your doctor or pharmacist.  Taking half a tablet daily for a week, then half a tablet every other day for a week, then half a tablet 3 times a week. This helped me get off this stuff.  good luck

Hi I was on 150mg of Effexor and trying to get off is hard. You go through hard withdrawl symptoms. Talk to your doctor. What they did with me was gradually reduced my dose until I was off of it. Don't try to do it without a doctor's help

Hi there,

You should talk to your doctor first for additional advice on how to ween yourself off of the effexor.  Skipping an entire day or dose in generally not reccomended.  I usually advise my clients to start gradually decreasing the dose (under supervision of doctor)...that way the withdraw symptoms are not so severe.  Your doctor should be able to help you out with this and advise you exactly what dosages you should take and how much your should decrease your daily dose first.
