Your question is how can you feel better, so it seems that you do want to feel better. Depression is a cruel illness and takes everything away from us. It seems hard to think that you will not always be like this.
Have you spoken to a professional about how you feel? have you been prescribed medication or a therapist?
We here will talk to you, as we all care about each other. Most of us know exactly how you are feeling now, believe me. You are definitely not alone. I myself have taken an overdose in the past and been in a psychiatric hospital.
You soun d as if you don't really want to commit suicide, as you say you may never feel happy again. This sounds therefore that you do want to live life, just not how it is at the moment.
We have to fight depression really hard. I am an example of someone, who for 20 years has struggled with depression, but am now coming out the other side. I have fought and fought, because there is no way I want depresssion to win. I am 72 years old, and live alone, but although I have thought it easy to give in, I never ever did. I fought and fought.
Do you think you could try and do that too. Each day take a small step. Feeling a burden to people is also how a lot of people with depression feel. But do you know, those people out there, if they know how you feel, will want to help.
If you need someone to speak to, just add me as friend. I dont know what you have been through, but I know, that there is someone who cares about you, and love you. You are going through a hard time, I promise you, it WILL get better.
Take care my friend
I strongly encourage you to seek some help. Suicide is not the answer. I know things can seem so hopeless and helpless, but you won't always feel that way and won't always be in that dark place. With the right help and support, you can regain your life and some happiness.
Keep talking to us and PLEASE seek urgent help if you feel you may harm yourself. There's no going back, please don't think it's a solution.
We're here to listen.
