I've had a lot of Acne in the past, and I mean a lot, now I have some scarring that i'm waiting to dye down before I do anything else. Do not worry about it, I imagine it's much harder for a female to deal with Acne, I don't know why, I just imagine it is. When you look in the mirror, you're automatically looking for the worst in your face, but I guarantee other people see you differently than you do.
If you're really getting bogged down about it, go see your Doctor, he/she will most likely give you something for it.
I'm in my 40s, and still having oily skin and some acne if I don't use exactly the right facial cleanser. Except the best "facial cleanser" for me turns out to be a men's body wash! I get it at Walmart. It's Alpine X-treme hydrating body wash, Mountain Stream scent (blue). I also find white vinegar to be the best astringent. Think of the money you'll save if these are all you need.
I hope you get quick results.
Have you tried an acne face wash and acne face cream? Did you experience symptoms of depression before your acne problems?
sry it's me again...i'll finish my message here.
I would look in the mirror and just want to cry because I felt so helpless and my face just continued to get worse and worse every week...I don't dare go to school without makeup on because I just don't think I could handle everybody seeing how bad my acne has really gotten...luckily, my parents took me to the dermatologist for the 1st time yesterday and I was prescribed solodyn (a pill to take) and two different types of creams for my face, one is for night and one is for day, I took my first pill last night and am going to start on my creams tonight too. I am VERY VERY much hoping that this will work...I miss my old skin SOOOOOO much! Before I broke out badly like this I had mild acne...maybe like 3 pimples at a time was the worst I ever got but now, it's all over my face and I hate it. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I understand how you feel and yes, it is definitely hard no to think about your acne when it is so bad...it had made me feel very depressed at times and some days I basically would just stay in my room all day and only come out to eat because I felt so ugly and just wanted to be left alone...Have you considered going to a dermatologist? Trust me, they can DEFINITELY help you with your acne...that's what I would recommend you do...there are so many diffrerent medications out there that can help you...I will try to keep you updated and let you kno if I feel like my medications are working for me...until then good luck and I hopr you can find something that will work well for you and clear up your acne, just remember that your not alone...there are alot of people who deal with the same issue we do...wish you the best!

Hi Cathy!
I also understand how you feel...at the beginning of October I started to break out REALLY REALLY bad all over my whole face and I didn't know why...I finally figured after a while that it had to be because I had quit taking birth control about 4 months before...I did some research online and found out that it happens to a lot of girls and women after they stop taking it. Anyway, I TOTALLY understand what it feels like to look in the
