Should I take my zoloft tonight?

Hey all, I'm kind of stuck right now, I'm a 19 year old male (5'6,150lbs) and I've been taking zoloft for 2 years. I've been on 200 mg for about a year and I just have gone done to 150mg. This is for my anxiety, OCD and depression. Ive been on 150 for 3 weeks now but yesterday I swear I cut a pill in half and my mom even remembers me doing so, I took the 150 and that was it. But the other half disappeared, I don't know if I took it by accident or what. I'm nervous to take the medicine tonight because I don't want to double dose. I've skipped zoloft for a day a couple of times and get up with a headache. Is it better to skip tonight and take it tomorrow?

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the timing -- did you say this happened yesterday?  At any rate, the thing to do is call your pharmacist and make sure you explain the timing better than you have here.  The thing is, this medication doesn't stay in your system for that long no matter how much of it you might have taken.  I'd personally think that if you took twice your usual dose you'd notice side effects.  So mention all this to your pharmacist, but there's nobody on here, I hope, who is going to answer this one for you.

No one here can answer this for you nor should they.  Only you can determine if you lost or took the pill.  Try to be careful about this.  I know it is easy when you do something routine like take medication.  I take allergy medicine seasonally and will forget sometimes if I took it or not.  I understand how it happens.  But we can't tell you if you should take the medication or not.  good luck
