Just started meds.. is this normal?

Hi there.. just a quick question to anyone that can help.. ive just started taking ADs (Cipralex) for what i thought to be for my anxiety issues that hit because of hormones and contraceptive pill. just want to check if these are side effects of taking the AD- burning sensation over parts of my skin- esp base of head/ neck, one and off tension headaches, and eyes not focusing..??? i had near perfect eye sight before this all started and now im not sure if half my anxiety is because of this... Also do the side effects go away or are they going to be permanent until i stop the meds whenever that may be.?

Also worried that once i start taking these meds i may need to be on and off meds for rest of life!! is this likely to happen?
any suggestions would be great..

thanks.

That doesn't sound normal for that type of antidepressant. Your system may be having an adverse reaction to the drug. Call your doc and tell him ASAP.

The symptoms of starting a new drug usually gets better with time, but not always.  If it doesn't then you will have to be switched to another medication.  Have you addressed your headaches and eye problems with your doctor?  This doesn't sound good to me and warrants looking into.

sorry should have mentioned that the eye issue and tension headaches were occurring before taking ADs just the burning sensation was new, however eyes seem a little worse now. I had a quick chat with my doc yesterday and all he really said was to give it time. Do the side effects go away after a time or are they permanent whilst on medication.?

Thanks

Call your prescribing doctor regarding these new symtoms.  Although it's possible for a lot to be anxiety, I'm not sure on this, and only a doctor should answer your question.  I don't want you to brush off something as anxiety when the medication may be causing you a problem.  Call your doctor.
