Lowering dosage of Depression med?????

I have only been on Remeron for 2 weeks. Do you think if I lower my dosage from 30mg's to 22.5mg's that I would already have withdrawals? I am having really bad constipation (I have used miralax and oral saline laxatives and that does not even work). I was fine with GI with the 15mg but was increased to 30mg due to daytime drowsiness. I was thinking of cutting it down tonight since my stomach hurts so bad! Any thoughts? I can deal with the daytime drowsiness but not the stomach problem!

Do you think 15mg would cause the same problem with GI as 30mg? For my body high fiber makes things worse and I have been drinking water like you can't believe. I am sure that it being 110 degrees where I live does not help. I also see a GI doctor since I was having problems last year with my stomach. Should I just take my regular dose of 30mg tonight and ask the Psych doctor tomorrow? I have an apppointment in the am with her. Thanks for all your help.

There won't be much of a difference between 30mg and 22.5. You will eventually get more adapted to the drug since you just started it.

It is true that it is causing constipation tho. A diet rich in fibers with some docusate sodium with a lot of water should do the trick.
