Hello there,
You have been on Cipralex for 2 years. You brain is now used to the serotonin reuptake inhibition and you should stop very very slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms such as brain zaps, irritability and dizziness.
The wise thing to do is to work on a withdrawal schedule with your doctor and be clear with him that you want to stop and planning a baby and that you really want to stop. He will gradually reduce you dosage then frequency. Such withdrawal can be long so don't rush it if you want to avoid withdrawal symptoms. I would rather play it safe with my brain.
Best regards,
M4
Candy,
I don't know any friends of mine that are on Ciprelax, so I don't know it's side effects.
I would keep checking back here to see if anybody on this Forum's heard of it and of it's side effects.
I'm on Celexa, not Ciprelax, and my Celexa makes me tired and I've gained weight on Celexa, so I don't know if the meds we're both on have similar side effects or not.
Hum??
BTW, what did your Doctor say about your fatigue and weight gain on Ciprelax? Just curious.
