Mood Swings/Depression

I've been getting like mood swings for sometime now.. its wierd.. i'll wake up in the morning and ill just feel empty inside or feel like i dont belong here (if that makes any sense....) Im in a new relationship too and it's been going well but sometimes i feel like theirs some pressure there.. I love him alot he makes me feel great though!

I still don't understand why i feel depressed.. my psychiatrist was gonna prescribe clonazapam because i also obsess alot about my weight.. (had trouble gaining weight for 2 years now and hated that i couldn't gain any weight) but i did improve and i gained 10 lbs in the past 2 months.. I know i should be extremely happy but still theirs this feeling i get inside where its just NOT enough.. I don't know if theirs anyone out there that understands this, or gets where i'm coming from but.. i feel like the days that go by are so slow.. and somethings useless .. i dont wanna drag my boyfriend into my depression either thats why im truely concerned.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can handle these feelings?

Thanks so much for your feedback! I did go through alot of issues in my past that i find are haunting me and make it really difficult for me to trust my boyfriend now.. as well as feel like i put up a wall etc.

He did recommend Clonezepam actually.. and i think your right.. i need something that will target the depression as well as obsessive thinking..

I will definately talk to my psych again see what he can reccommend.. maybe mention my past.. i think that will really help me overcome this!!

Thank you so much! you take care too

Often we are depressed and don't know why.  Sometimes it can be caused by a traumatic event in our past that we never really dealt with.  Therapy can help you determine "why" you are depressed and help you to deal with it and move on.  Often medication is recommended as well.  Did your psychiatrist recommend an antidepressant?  Clonazepam is for anxiety, I think you need something that going to combat the depression. Depression can rob us of so much, especially our happiness.
Talk to your psych doc again about this, you don't have to live like this, it sounds like you're in a wonderful part of your life!  Don't let depression rob you of everything.  Best wishes and take care.
