Scared...

Ok I'm a 28 year old mom of 2 hyper lil boys. I'm going in for a hystorectomy feb 10th. What should i expect. Will i ever be the same? Will I still be able to have a orgasum (sp*) after? I know thats a weird question. How long is the healin process? Pretty much any insight to life after would be helpful. Thanks so much! -Jennifer

From all that I know its a good medication tolerated well by most. Be sure to read the insert that the pharmacy gives to you. We also have a drug(medication) information and pill identifer its listed for the link on the right side of most all pages. Its for sure not a hormone/pain med or anything to do with your hysterectomy.

I am going to have this transfered to another forum that I believe can help you more for this question.

All the best and feel more than welcome to post any hysterectomy questions here, and you are more than welcome to pm me anytime.

I see I made a couple of mistakes here. I meant popped in the microwave, not pooped! Ha ha. Sorry about that. Sometimes my mind works faster than my fingers when I'm typing. Remar

What kind of surgery are you having, a complete hysterectomy a partial?
The healing process lasts about 6 weeks. No lifting, taking stairs, no sex and most importantly, rest rest rest!
With you having two little boys at home you need to ask for help from family and friends so you can rest and heal.
Before you go into the hospital make food that can be frozen and pooped in the microwave. Maybe put them into individual dishes for the boys. Buy yourself lots of magazines and have someone pick up some of your favorite movies.
Talk to your Dr about hormone replacement before surgery. Do some research on Bio Identical hormones. Some women do well without it and others don't. With you being so young I think it's something you need to really think about.
Sex can be even better after this surgery, depending on why your having it. I had to have mine because of endometreosis, which was extremely  painful for me. After the surgery there was no more pain during intercourse and no problems with orgasms.
Of course we're all different and if you do have problems with orgasms you need to talk to your Dr about it. It may be that you need your hormones adjusted, if you decide to take them.
We're here to answer any more questions you have. Take care. Remar
