Generally, a Psychiatrist knows what they're doing, but sometimes the patient (you) has to push for what they feel is right. In this case you've already been on these drugs for three months (which is usually long enough to tell if they will work or not). However, has your Psychiatrist mentioned that s/he is looking to slowly up your dosage over time? Sometimes it will take time when they are wanting you to be at a higher dosage than what you are currently at.
Either way, please inform your Psychiatrist what you told us. No one should go through life feeling like a zombie, and if your Psychiatrist doesn't do anything after you've told him/her that... find a new Psychiatrist!
Please keep us updated!
Best of luck,

I agree with Maddie, 6 months is way to long to wait. Normally an antidepressant is only given 6 wks. at the make to see if it is tackling your depression. It sounds like you definitely need a change or tweak of medications to give you that boost to pull out of your depression. Sometimes it takes many trials to find the correct medication for you.
Personally, I think I would seek help from a different p-doc.
I find anti-depressant medication really works for me. We are all different. I have tried lots of different meds. Now I have found the one that works for me. You must discuss with your doctor. Takes a couple of months or so before you notice change. 6 months sounds like too long to me.
