Trazodone...Withdraws??

I take 200mg of Trazodone a night for sleep, for the past two years. I have tried to stop taking it twice and both times after 3-days, I feel like my blood sugar is very low and I get tunnel vision. Why is this? My Doctor says I should be able to stop with no side effects, because it is non-addicting. Am I getting bad advice?

Both times I had to restart the medication to get rid of the symptoms. I feel my sleeping issue has improved and I might not need the medication anymore.

I work at a pharmacy, and just because trazadone is not a controlled substance many people mistaken that with being "non-addictive"  We treat trazadone like a narcotic due to "un-ruley" customers who are always trying to get it way to early.  Also, I hear from other customers that they have similar issues coming off of it.  Its more heavy duty than it appears.  All drugs can have withdrawals.
