I did go for a blood test, for the dizzy spells, have to wait on the results x
Hi,thanx for ur input, the tablets im on r prozac, but even before i went on prozac for my depression i still got dizzy spells, etc,
You can take Xanax too and Xanax being a sedative, hypnotic, anti-convulsive, anxiolytic medication will make you even more tired and dizzy since you are already on Seroquel which is very sedative in its anti-psychotic kind of med. You get the extended release which should cause less sedation but still when mixed with a benzodiazepine such as Xanax it will add up and make you feel like you mentioned above. Xanax should only be taken occasionally when you are very anxious or having a panic attack. Xanax is very addictive like any benzodiazepine.
To answer to question directly, yes there is an interaction between Xanax and Seroquel. It is not a major interaction it is just like i said it's adding up to the sedative effect of Seroquel which, if taken in high dose or if you have a reaction , could lead into a respiratory depression. Especially if you are aged and over-reacting to Xanax and it you take it before going to bed. Be careful with that.
My advice would be to stop taking Xanax immediately or cut the dose and report to your doctor as soon as possible.

I take dopamine and Seraquel ER. Now I was given Xanex and feel dizzy, fatigued, confused all the time. Can I mix these 3 meds, or should I stop the Xanex?

Hello there,
Tiredness, dizziness, memory problems are indeed symptoms of depression but they can also be caused by your medication too if you are on any medication i would like to know then i would be able to shed some light on this and give you better advices.
For your symptoms i believe the GABA, glutamate, norepinephrine and serotonin neurotransmitters are the cause. The GABA neurotransmitter regulates norepinephrine, adrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin, it is a significant mood modulator. High level of glutamate could lead to depression and OCD. High levels of norepinephrine is linked to anxiety and stress and low levels to fatigue. Finally a lack of serotonin could cause all the symptoms mentioned above.
Diet, hormones and estrogen levels have key roles in regulating all those neurotransmitters. So doing physical activities, having a healthy diet, getting enough sleep will help.
Basically you want to balances your hormones, have the proper proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbs and lipids intake and check your adrenals, hormones and neurotransmitters checked out could be a good way to tell you whats wrong.
Best regards,
